Poet Ian Duhig writes
about how Philippa's work inspired the poem "Jericho
Shanty" which will be the title-poem in his new book.
"...On Monday, I enjoy a journey on the Settle-Carlisle
line visiting the artist Philippa Troutman, who lives near
the Ribblehead Viaduct. Locals say a navvy died for every
brick in it, and Philippa researched their work-camps extensively
for the travelling exhibition The Shanties...." The
